About the renders:
I created the vector versions of the designs in Inkscape, I imported them and retopologized in Blender.
Procedural materials for the candies.
Tatami mats and Shoji doors created all with Geometry Nodes (models, UV unwrap with seams and layouts), more info in my dedicated projects in the Geometry Nodes Album.
For the outside backgroud I used an image from Unsplash by David Emrich.

Wagara are traditional Japanese patterns, each with a specific meaning, originally created for decorating traditional garments. The patterns are largely inspired by nature. They were worn with purpose for different seasons and occasions.
