About the design:
The theme for the inside tuck case design is Hanami (Sakura Viewing), so there are a lot of sakura flowers and petals on a pink background.
A cute face is revealed when the tuck case is opened.
On the top and bottom flaps there is some text in japanese:
- いただきます (Itadakimasu)
A phrase used before a meal. It is actually the polite and humble form of the verb “to receive”, so in a literal sense, it means, “I humbly receive”. It is a way of saying thank you and giving respect and appreciation to everyone involved in the preparation of your meal, from the cook who prepared it, to the farmer who grew the produce, to the actual pig, wheat and mushrooms.
- ごちそうさま (Gochisōsama)
A casual phrase usually translated as “thank you for the meal”, or “thank you for the feast”. However, like itadakimasu, it means a bit more. It’s really a way of honouring all the hard work that went into your meal – again, from the people who prepared it, going back through everything it took to bring the meal to your plate.
About the renders:
The tuck case is a rigged model asset I created based on Cartamundi Guide Lines.
For the tree shadow as a Gobo Light, I used a spot light with a tree silhouette texture.
About Dango:
Dango (団子) is a Japanese dumpling made from rice flour mixed with uruchi rice flour and glutinous rice flour. Generally, dango comes under the category of wagashi, and is often served with green tea. It is eaten year-round, but the different varieties are traditionally eaten in given seasons.
Hanami dango (花見だんご) is sanshoku dango (三色団子) to eat during hanami. It has three colors (pink, green, white), and is traditionally made during sakura-viewing season, hence the name (hanami means "flower viewing"; hana meaning "flower", and mi meaning "to see").
